Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet could leave the club this summer in search of more game time, a report claims.
The Belgian has largely been kept out of the team by Wilfred Ndidi and countryman Youri Tielemans under Brendan Rodgers. Praet has started only 35 games out of the 60 he has played in. He has started just one league game in 2021 having nursed a hamstring injury he picked up against Stoke City in the FA Cup for most of the year.
Alarmingly, he has never completed a full 90 minutes in a Premier League game, albeit has done six times in other competitions.
Now, the Sun claims that the 27-year-old is not happy warming the bench for another season and may seek a move elsewhere.
He was bought for £18million from Sampdoria almost three years ago and could bet set for a return to Italy.
This feeling may have been heightened by the impending arrival of Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare.
Furthermore, the source moots that Rodgers would not stand in Praet’s way should he want to leave.
The Athletic report that Leicester would want to sell him for close to the price he was purchased for.

Arsenal interest
Arsenal have shown their interest in Praet over the years, making a bid for him two years ago – which was turned down.
The Express reports that another offer from the Gunners could be incoming with boss Mikel Arteta keen to strengthen his ranks with Grant Xhaka heading for Jose Moutinho’s Roma for around £17million.
Additionally, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira are manufacturing moves to Marseille and Lazio, respectively. The source says that this leaves the door open for Praet to make a move to the Emirates.
The midfielder has 13 caps for Belgium, two of which came at Euro 2020. He came on as substitute on both occasions; once in the opening group stage match against Russia and again in the quarter-final loss to eventual champions Italy.
