Scottish champions Celtic will face Icelandic team KR Reykjavik in the first round of the 2020-21 Champions League.

The match will take place on 18 or 19 August.

 

Is Celtic vs KR Reykjavik a 2-legged tie?

No. It’s a straight knockout match.

The qualifier may be decided in extra time or by a penalty shoot-out if required.

If Celtic beat KR Reykjavik, they’ll advance into the Champions League second qualifying round.

If Celtic lose the match, the Scots will drop into the Europa League second qualifying round.

 

Celtic have played KR Reykjavik before in the Champions League

The sides met back in 2014 in a Champions League qualifier.

Celtic beat KR Reykjavik 5-0 on aggregate on that occasion.
