Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella has praised Jurgen Klopp for creating a sense of unity at Anfield, despite his lack of action in the first team.
Klopp has built up something special at Liverpool five years after his appointment, with the Reds dominating the Premier League this season after winning the Champions League last term.
And even though Chirivella has only played in cup competitions for the Reds this season, it appears he still feels part of it all, which he credits to the conviction with which Klopp carries out his role.
“Klopp is very demanding, but he makes you believe what he tells you,” he told Estadio Deportivo (as translated by Sport Witness).
“That’s very important in a squad. It is one of the key points of the team.
“He treats us all equally, and one of the strengths of the team is the friendship between all of us. He’s partly responsible.”
It remains unlikely that Chirivella will have a long-term future at Anfield with Klopp, as the Spanish midfielder would surely favour more gametime elsewhere now that he is nearly 23 years old.
He had been keen on leaving on loan in January, but no move materialised, and he has since played in three of Liverpool’s four FA Cup games this season before they were eliminated by Chelsea.
