The internet exploded into life yesterday with rumours Bath and South Africa flanker Francois Louw was joining US MLR side Rugby United New York, following the likes of former England full back Ben Foden and French skipper Mathieu Bastareaud to the Big Apple.
A picture of Louw, 33, who has 65 caps for the Springboks, with a New York shirt with his name on the back was mischievously put on Twitter by the club, but they later confirmed he was just passing through.

In March, the flanker signed a one-year contract extension with Gallagher Premiership side Bath which will keep him at the club until 2020.
