Barcelona would provide an injury update on Ansu Fati late on Thursday evening.
The Catalonian outfit would take on Athletic Bilboa in a Copa del Rey clash on Thursday.
In the end, Barcelona fell to defeat and, to make matters worse, would see Ansu Fati, who had only recently returned from a long-term injury, walk off the pitch with an issue after just over 30 minutes on the field.
Barcelona have since confirmed what forced the young Spaniard off, stating that Fati has a left biceps femoris injury, adding that further tests are pending to find out the exact extent of the injury.

Barcelona continue to flounder
The recent return of key players to the squad such as Fati and Pedri likely instilled hope in the Barcelona faithful that they could turn their campaign around.
However, Barcelona have not won a single match since the pair’s brief return.
Pedri did score a 93rd-minute equaliser for Barcelona on Thursday vs Athletic Bilboa.

This would see the Copa dely Rey clash head for extra time on the night.
Barcelona then struggled to carve out any major chances in extra time before giving away a penalty.
Iker Muniain would step up to convert, sending Barca crashing out of the competition in the process.
