2003-04, Regular Season Round 1: A legend returns
Arvydas Sabonis returned to the EuroLeague for the first time since 1995 and there was a high expectation in Kaunas. Sabonis, age 39, did not disappoint, and led Zalgiris with 15 point, 9 rebounds and a PIR of 26. Fun Fact: it was Zalgiris legend’s Paulius Jankunas first EuroLeague game and he had an outstanding debut: 12 points and 6 rebounds!
