Pink Floyd have today joined the social media platform TikTok, using the tag @pinkfloyd (https://www.tiktok.com/@pinkfloyd) unsurprisingly. It enables people on the platform to use music from the band’s entire catalogue with their own self-shot videos, and it will mean that the Floyd’s music will potentially reach a massive new audience who might not have come across it otherwise. As part of the launch, a short video has been posted across the band’s socials, including their new home on TikTok, which is a teaser for the 50th anniversary celebrations for The Dark Side Of The Moon, which was released in March 1973 (therefore March 2023 is the anniversary date). The video is a brief look at Breathe, and it doesn’t take a genius to surmise that other tracks are likely to get the same treatment… A post shared by Pink Floyd (@pinkfloyd) (https://www.instagram.com/reel/CeLQUmYjmwv/?utm_source=ig_embed utm_campaign=loading)
