West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has this evening provided an update on the fitness of a trio of the club’s stars, ahead of his side’s meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Brighton vs West Ham
The Hammers are set to travel to the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon, after the two sides got their respective campaigns off to hugely-contrasting starts last weekend.
Brighton put Watford to the sword in emphatic fashion at Vicarage Road, finding the back of the net 3 times without reply.
West Ham, on the other hand, were thumped 5-0 by a Raheem Sterling-inspired Manchester City in London.
As such, Pellegrini’s men will head into this weekend’s proceedings hoping for an immediate bounce-back performance, having been utterly outclassed in every department by the reigning English champions.
Noble to miss out
The capital outfit’s hopes of quickly turning things around, however, could be made considerably tougher by a number of problems on the personnel front.
Speaking in a press conference this evening, Manuel Pellegrini provided an update on his squad, with the Chilean tactician having confirmed that key attackers Felipe Anderson and Sebastien Haller are both in doubt to feature at the Amex:
West Ham duo face a late fitness test. “We also have small problems with Anderson and Haller,” confirmed Pellegrini. “They are recovering from the kicks that they had in the last game. That is the update on injuries. We’ll see tomorrow.” #WHUFC

Captain Mark Noble, meanwhile, has been ruled out:
However, the skipper remains out. “Mark Noble is recovering from his calf injury,” Pellegrini said. “I think that next week he will work with the team.” #WHUFC https://t.co/U7ViDYKiqJ
