MOJO magazine’s two-part Pink Floyd special collectors’ edition (https://www.greatmagazines.co.uk/mojo-specials/emojespc/collectors-series-pink-floyd-bundle) is on sale now in UK stores. Housed in a gatefold card sleeve, with a mirrored prism on the front, and Atom Heart Mother’s Lulubelle III pictured on the inside when opened up, the magazine covers the early period in the band’s history: 1965-1973. The editor, Mark Blake (he of the excellent Pigs Might Fly biography of the band) has put together the pair of 132 page magazines in part to tie in with the upcoming tour of Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets that begins on March 12th in Vancouver. The publications pull together interviews and articles printed over the many years of MOJO magazine, and accompany them with many rare and previously unseen images of the band, to help trace the journey from the band’s first steps, through to The Dark Side Of The Moon. There were certainly a healthy number of pictures which I’d not seen before, and refreshingly for a special publication such as this, there is no advertising within its pages to artificially inflate the page count. Both parts should be worthwhile purchases for Floyd fans, providing plenty to read, and lots of visual entertainment too. The second part, also known as Edition 2, will be available in UK stores from April 4th, and covers the period of 1974 to the present day. As you’ll see from the image here, the cover of the second part has the band lurking behind a hole in the Wall… PLEASE NOTE that Edition 1 (part one) is selling incredibly well, and copies are becoming very hard to find. Secure your copy now by purchasing online (it’s available worldwide) through these links at the publishers: Specially priced bundle to buy Edition 1 (1965-73), and pre-order Edition 2 (1974-2019) (https://www.greatmagazines.co.uk/mojo-specials/emojespc/collectors-series-pink-floyd-bundle) or The link to buy Edition 1 (1965-73) only (https://www.greatmagazines.co.uk/mojo-specials/emojespc/collectors-series-pink-floyd-edition-1)

Nick Mason’s Saucers guitarist Lee Harris chats with Tim Renwick
Many of you now will have seen the first two of Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets’ guitarist Lee Harris’s “Live At Lee’s” which he is sharing on his social media pages – these looked at how he approached a couple of the songs in the Saucers repertoire. For the third episode, he recorded something a little different – a chat with fellow guitarist Tim Renwick. Tim, of course, has had a long history with the Floyd (amongst others on his extensive CV which is a bit of a who’s who of top musicians) taking in things like Roger Waters’ 1984 tour, Pink Floyd from 1987 onwards (including the 2005 Live 8 appearance at London’s Hyde Park, and playing guitar on The Division Bell and Richard Wright’s Broken China. We’ve mentioned before on Brain Damage that Tim remains very active, with some lovely solo albums available from his website (https://www.timrenwick.com). Here’s the interview:

NEW MUSIC: SWiiMS – Let You Down
Canadian dream-pop band SWiiMS release brand new single “Let You Down” from the Through Waves EP. Last time I wrote about SWiiMS on Turtle Tempo (see the “Fill Me Up” article here), I wasn’t quite sure how to pin down their sound, so came up with the less-than-catchy ‘newbritdreamgaze’ as a solution. Now, upon hearing …
