Two new bids swiftly rejected as teenage star offers exciting Man Utd vow

Moises Caicedo and his representatives have rejected interest from two new clubs as the midfielder holds out for his Manchester United transfer, a report has claimed.

Previous speculation has said that the 19-year-old and his agent are supposedly “locked in” for a move to Old Trafford.

Indeed, that is despite interest from Chelsea and Everton surfacing in recent days. Both Premier League clubs have shown interest in hijacking United’s deal.

What’s more, TuttoMercatoWeb now reports that two more clubs have come forward looking to sign Caicedo.

MLS sides Atlanta United and Inter Miami want to lure the player to the USA. However, the report adds that their efforts look to be in vain.

Caicedo and his team have swiftly rebuffed their proposals in the knowledge that United’s interest should soon pull through.

The player has ‘promised himself’ to the Old Trafford club and hopes to realise the ‘dream of his life’ soon.

In fact, United have already agreed terms with the teenager’s club, Independiente del Valle. The transfer will supposedly cost between €5million and €6million, despite reports suggesting that his fee has increased.

As such, the issue of a work permit remains the only obstacle keeping Caicedo away from Old Trafford.

But there is hope that the player will obtain his right to work in the UK soon.

South American football expert Tim Vickery has given his backing to United’s chase for Caicedo.

Expert backs Caicedo to Man Utd

“It looks like he is locked in for Manchester United and if it goes through, they’ve got themselves the real deal Holyfield!,” he said (via Sky Sports News).

“Only 19. The way the market is going with South American football is the European clubs want to take them as early as possible. They are buying on promises.

“The fella Moises Caicedo is much more than promise, he is reality. He is the first player born in the 21st century to score a goal in South American World Cup qualifiers.”

Vickery also said that Caicedo already offers more going forward than his idol – a senior Chelsea star.
