‘They’ve found their level’: Trio of Tottenham stars slammed by supporters despite comfortable Mura win

The Tottenham Hotspur faithful have flooded to Twitter this evening, to make their feelings regarding a trio of stars to have started the club’s meeting with NS Mura crystal clear.

Kane at the treble

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men got their European campaign back underway a short time ago.

After slipping to a third successive Premier League defeat, at the hands of none other than Arsenal this past weekend, Spurs welcomed Slovenian outfit Mura to North London, eyeing a morale-boosting return to winning ways.

And, when the 90 minutes were said and done, this is precisely what the Lilywhites managed.

A dominant display ultimately culminated in a 5-1 result, as Tottenham made clear, despite their recent struggles, that they must be viewed as amongst the favourites to clinch the first-ever Europa Conference League title.

Dele Alli opened the scoring from the penalty spot early on, before Giovani Lo Celso set Nuno’s men well on their way to all three points with a 2nd inside the opening ten minutes.

And though Ziga Kous did his best to hand those inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium a scare courtesy of a stunning Mura consolation, Harry Kane quickly went on to steal the show.

Introduced off the bench on the hour mark, Spurs’ talisman remarkably managed a hat-trick, to add some gloss to the final scoreline in the capital.

‘Found their level’

As outlined above, though, despite their side having steadied the ship to at least some degree, the club’s supporters have not been at all shy in dishing out the criticism on Thursday evening.

Taking to social media, the Spurs faithful have widely singled out a trio of players – in the form of Dele Alli, Harry Winks and Matt Doherty – as simply not good enough to garner regular game-time moving forward.

The oft-maligned trio again struggled throughout much of the action versus Mura, a fact which, when taking into consideration the standard of opposition, inevitably sparked a backlash online.
