Sir Clive Woodward reveals the radically changed England XV he’d like to see


Sir Clive Woodward believes Eddie Jones must start picking players on merit, and has named the England XV he’d like to see.

The World Cup-winning coach initially left Manu Tuilagi out of his XV, but only because his international future was unclear with a move abroad then looking likelt.

However, with the powerhouse centre once again available after signing a new two-year contract extension with Sale Sharks, we’ve revisited what his team would look like….

BACK-THREE:

  • 15. Max Malins (Bristol Bears)
  • 14. Anthony Watson (Bath RFC)
  • 11. Paolo Odogwu (Wasps)

CENTRE:

  • 13. Henry Slade (Exeter Chiefs)
  • 12. Manu Tuilagi (Sale Sharks)
