Rugby legend Brian O’Driscoll names his World Cup team of the tournament

Ireland legend Brian O’Driscoll has handpicked his Rugby World Cup team of the tournament – and it’s caused quite the debate online.

The former Ireland captain posted his best XV on twitter with England, the team BOD tipped to win the competition at the start, getting five players in to the team.

New Zealand, Japan, South Africa and Wales all get some players on the team, but there was no place for any Irish in the side.

The debate has already begun online, with fans calling for their top players to be given a role in the side while others are looking for O’Driscoll to extend it to a 23 man matchday squad.

Here is who he picked:

15. Beauden Barrett (New Zealand)

14. Kenki Fukuoka (Japan)

13. Manu Tuilagi (England)

12. Damian de Allende (South Africa)

11. Semi Radradra (Fiji)

10. George Ford (England)
