Roy Hodgson responds to Crystal Palace’s Benrahma links

Crystal Palace vs Man United

Crystal Palace are set to take on Manchester United this coming weekend.

The Eagles would get their 2020/21 Premier League campaign off to a solid start last weekend with a 1-0 victory over Southampton.

As for Manchester United, they are actually yet to play a league game due to them being handed an extended break after their Europa League run in 2019/20.

Regardless, the Red Devils, who have recently added Donny van de Beek to their already quality midfield, should prove a stern test for Palace.

Roy Hodgson on Said Benrahma

Ahead of Saturday’s clash with United, Hodgson held his latest press conference on Thursday.

During the presser, Hodgson was drawn on Crystal Palace’s links to Said Benrhma.

The Algerian was one of the Championship’s standout performers last term, netting 17 and assisting nine.

And just this week, it was claimed Crystal Palace were hopeful of reaching an agreement for the winger.

However, when speaking about Benrahma on Thursday, Hodgson remained rather coy:

“Not something we have discussed at great length, our interest is dependent on the price. It is not our priority, we’re still looking to get another striker in, that is the priority.”
