REPORTS | Harlequins scrum guru Adam Jones could be on the move

Wales legend Adam Jones has emerged as new Ospreys boss Tony Booth’s number one target as he looks to recruit a formidable backroom staff.

The 100-cap Lions and Wales legend, who was renowned as one of the games finest ever scrummagers, has made an almost seamless transition to coaching.

According to The Rugby Paper, Quins are reluctant to lose the 39-year-old and are playing ‘hardball’ over what figure it would take for them to release him.

The popular Welshman is one of the most recognisable front row forwards in the game and was awarded the first of his 95 Welsh caps in 2003, against England.

JOIN THE RUCK:

Winning four Six Nations titles, the Abercrave-born tight head has also competed in three Rugby World Cups and toured with the British and Irish Lions on two occasions; first in 2009 and then on the victorious 2013 tour to Australia.

Joining Harlequins after retiring from international rugby and making 22 appearances for the Club to date, he has made an invaluable impact since joining, mentoring youthful talent in the Academy and senior set ups.
