Only Man City & Liverpool have enjoyed better PL form than Crystal Palace since February

An amazing statistic surrounding the form of Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace has been turning plenty of heads online today.

Palace down United

The Eagles travelled to Old Trafford this past Saturday afternoon, for a meeting with Manchester United.

Palace headed into proceedings still looking for their first win of the campaign, having followed up an opening day stalemate with Everton with a 1-0 defeat at Sheffield United.

And their search for 3 points was widely-predicted to continue beyond the club’s trip to Manchester.

When the 90 minutes were said and done, however, Palace went on to stun their illustrious hosts.

Jordan Ayew opened the game’s scoring against the run of play with half an hour gone, before Daniel James pulled one back for United with 89 minutes on the clock.

Incredibly, though, a near post strike from Patrick van Aanholt deep into injury-time eventually saw the visitors emerge with all 3 points.

Palace continue to impress

The Londoners’ win at Old Trafford takes their season tally to 4 points, good enough for joint-5th in the Premier League table.

And their 3-point haul has since also given rise to a hugely-surprising statistic.

As showcased in the chart below, since the beginning of February, only Liverpool and Manchester City have enjoyed better runs of form in the English top-flight than Palace.

Across their last 17 league outings, Roy Hodgson’s men have picked up 30 points, 1 more than both Arsenal and Chelsea:
