Nkoudou posts on Instagram after promising Spurs outing; Alli and Onomah respond

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, remember the name (or recall it).

It’d been a while since 2016 signing Nkoudou slipped on the crisp white jersey of his north London-based employers and expelled moments of silky magic in front of a crowd of passionate Spurs fans.

As he lay in his bed in sunny Burnley after a long day’s training with the likes of Phil Bardsley, Dean Marney, Scott Arfield, Johnathan Walters and Ashley Barnes, he probably quietly accepted that his Premier League dream was over. Especially after managing just 224 minutes of football in five months.

And he wasn’t the only one.

In all our wisdom, we firmly believed that the 24-year-old’s time at Tottenham was up, and his appearances during pre-season were simply an attempt to fatten him up for market.

However, we may well have been wrong, and things are really starting to look up for the Frenchman.

Nkoudou pleasantly surprised us all when he provided an early assist for Erik Lamela’s first-half goal in Tottenham’s Audi Cup clash against Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich the other night.

High off his new-found quality he posted to Instagram: “Good feelings after tonight’s performance very happy with the assist and the win.”

Teammates Dele Alli and Josh Onomah were also at hand to congratulate the player:

Couple of ‘shush’ emojis for the haters.
