Marseilles keen to make January move for another Arsenal player after Matteo Guendouzi success

Guendouzi excelling away from Arsenal

It is safe to say that Matteo Guendouzi had a tumultuous time at Arsenal.

Signed from Ligue 2 side Lorient, he excelled under the tenure of Unai Emery, but disciplinary issues cost him a place in Mikel Arteta’s thoughts, and he has spent the last two seasons away from the club on loan.

And, while his loan to Hertha Berlin last season offered little to be impressed by, his current stint at Marseilles, who are believed to have an obligation to buy the Frenchman in the summer, is a different story.

Still somewhat tarnished by off the pitch antics, he has nonetheless excelled on it.

Additionally, William Saliba is having a stellar season with the French side. And now, they could be set to be joined by another Arsenal man.

Marseilles want to complete the Arsenal treble

As the French side look for reinforcements, they have once again turned their eye towards north London, this time making a move for Sead Kolasinac.

That is according to French outlet L’Equipe, who report that:

“To replace departures in defense, Pablo Longoria, the president of OM, notably checked the names of Samuel Gigot and Sead Kolasinac.”

The French side are not the only club interested in the Arsenal defender, with Watford also thought to be keen on a move, although his wages are a stumbling block.
