LIST: Three Lions injury doubts – and most likely replacements

Lions coach Warren Gatland will be sweating on more injury concerns after a number of players limped out of matches over the weekend with one star already ruled out.

#1. Andrew Porter (Ireland) – Confirmed

Porter’s Lions tour is over before it even began after the Dubliner suffered a toe injury in Leinster’s Guinness PRO14 defeat to Glasgow Warriors.

The powerful, dynamic Porter earned his call-up with a series of strong displays as a starter when Tadhg Furlong was out injured, while his big impact off the bench caught Warren Gatland’s eye.

Chances of being ruled out: RULED OUT

Replacement: Kyle Sinckler (England)

The decision to leave Sinckler out caused a major shock, as Scot Zander Fagerson got the nod along with Furlong and Porter.

The England star came off the bench in all three Tests four years ago in New Zealand and was a star of Eddie Jones’ side’s run to the World Cup final in Japan, before getting injured minutes into the defeat to South Africa.

DID YOU KNOW? Sinckler was born in Wandsworth, London, and began playing rugby from the age of eight. Sinckler states that it was his mother, Donna, who instigated his rugby career. According to Sinckler, he was a keen footballer though his physical nature resulted in him dropping the sport. His mother took him to local rugby union side Battersea Ironsides in Earlsfield
