Brendan Rodgers since confirmed that he would not play again until 2022, but little has been heard about him since. The injury forced Leicester into the transfer window once more, completing a deal for Southampton centre-back Jannick Vestergaard.

Fofana issues an uupdate

Taking to Twitter spaces, Wesley Fofana himself provided an update on his fitness, and it proves to be good news for Foxes fans.

Speaking earlier this evening, the Leicester man revealed:

“I’m starting to see the end of the tunnel. The return is coming soon. It will be at the end of December, if all goes well”

His return would be a massive boost to Leicester, who have been struggling in his absence, and currently sit in 12th place, having won four and lost four of their opening 11 games, and they have been performing little better in the Europa League, where they sit in 3rd place in their group, albeit 2 points off top spot with 2 games to play.
