Liverpool’s victory over Southampton this afternoon saw the Reds etch their names further into the history books of the English top-flight.
Liverpool continue to roll
Jurgen Klopp’s men returned to Premier League action a short time ago, in a meeting with the Saints at Anfield.
The European champions of course headed into proceedings amid an absolutely scintillating spell of form.
Liverpool had dropped just 2 points all season before today, in a stalemate with Manchester United back in October .
Since then, Klopp’s outfit had racked up 15 straight league wins, a run which had allowed them to open up a frankly-ridiculous 19 point advantage over champions Manchester City in 2nd.
And, when all was said and done on Merseyside this afternoon, the Reds further extended their lead over Pep Guardiola’s men.
After heading into the interval with the clash locked at 0-0, Liverpool exploded into life in the second-half, to eventually put Southampton to the sword by 4 goals to nil.

Klopp’s men closing on records
