“Glorious player” Some Arsenal fans have already made their choice for December’s PL POTM


Arsenal dismantle Norwich

Arsenal put on a Boxing Day spectacle as they fired five past a sorry looking Norwich side at Carrow Road.

Bukayo Saka opened the scoring after just five minutes, before Kieran Tierney added a second just before half-time.

Still in the game, Norwich battled hard, but Arsenal made the difference in quality clear, with Saka adding his second of the evening, before a Lacazette penalty and an Emile Smith Rowe close-range finish added gloss to the scoreline, and saw Mikel Arteta’s side guarantee their spot in the top 4 come New Year.

And, with their game against Wolves on Tuesday having been called off, the Gunners now have 5 days to prepare to welcome Manchester City to the Emirates on New Years Day, as they look to avoid their tradition of crumbling against the top sides this season.

However, after the clash with the East Anglian outfit, Arsenal fans have made their candidate for Player of the Month clear.

Odegaard in the mix

While Martin Odegaard did not find himself on the scoresheet against Norwich, he nonetheless provided two assists, rounding off what has been his most productive month since joining the club.

It takes his tally for December in the Premier League to three goals and three assists, working out at a goal contribution every game, something that has certainly contributed to Arsenal’s upturn in form.

And, Arsenal fans have been quick to put him up for the prestigious Player of the month award, as can be seen below.
