Four players who SHOULD be in the England squad based on form

Statistically, they’re four of the Gallagher Premiership’s very best.

#1. Louis Lynagh (Harlequins)

  • Age: 21
  • Position: Winger

Following his latest England snub, the son of Wallabies great Michael Lynagh has now been approached by Italy about the prospect of playing Test rugby for the Azzurri.

He has a right to be frustrated as the speedster is the Premiership’s joint third top try-scorer with seven and has made more metres (710) than Jack Nowell and Jonny May combined.

He’s already previously had a spell in one of Eddie Jones’ England training squads but was overlooked for both the Autumn and Six Nations squads.

Six Nations chief executive Ben Morel has ruled out the prospect of a promotion/relegation scheme, saying Italy’s dismal record does not threaten the team’s credibility.
