Euro Paper Talk: Klopp would axe €200m Liverpool star to land top target; Arsenal, Spurs in four-way race for AC Milan winger

Arsenal and Spurs are among the clubs eyeing a star AC Milan football, while Jurgen Klopp could ditch Mo Salah this summer, according to Friday’s European papers.

SALAH SACRIFICE COULD NET KLOPP TOP TARGET

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would be willing to sacrifice star winger Jurgen Klopp in order to sign Nicolas Pepe, according to shock reports in France.

Speculation has suggested that the Reds are one of the main suitors for the Ivorian forward, who enjoyed a stellar season in Ligue 1, scoring 22 times for the runners-up.

Lille’s valuation is understood to be around €80million (£71.2m) for Pepe and it was recently claimed that Liverpool have ‘come close’ to that figure after they ‘moved up a gear’ in the race.

Some outlets, however, believe Liverpool’s reported interest has been fabricated in order to drive up the winger’s price, amid talk that Manchester United and Bayern Munich are also keen on the 24-year-old.

However, according to French outlet le10sport, Klopp would be happy to sell Salah this summer if it meant that he could land Pepe.

The report cites an ‘increasingly complicated relationship’ between Klopp and the Egyptian, and he would be willing to cash in on the forward – who scored 22 Premier League goals last season – and sign the Lille star to replace him.

Salah has been linked with a €200m exit in recent month amid interest from abroad, while the CIES Football Observatory values him at €219m.

Meanwhile, Lille apparently have two other offers on the table for Pepe, which are likely to include at least one other Premier League side.
