Berne have returned with their third single, the poignant, electro pop tune ‘Stay’. The London based band have accompanied this heart felt and poetic release with a carefully crafted stop motion music video, that magnifies the message and intention of this track.
Deborah Borg Brincat and Gianluca Pulvirenti, are the faces behind Berne and time after time they deliver a moving environmental message through ethereal, conductive vocals and reverb-laden guitar, all polished off with beaming astral production.
‘“Stay’ asks planet Earth to stand by us, to give us time to make positive change and overcome the climate challenges we are faced with.”
Berne often combine emotional and important lyrical content that dive deep into inconsistencies in society and our natural world with haunting melodies and vivid sound layers. Emanating pure, alternative, indie pop at its finest, unafraid the two partner their music with a deeper level of understanding and environmental consciousness, that lead to passionate songs written with substance, purpose and meaning.
“Stay is our plea to planet Earth for more time to reverse the damage we’ve done, before it’s too late. As more and more of us understand the urgent
climate challenge, we’re inspired by positive changes people are really trying to make. We believe human spirit and togetherness will allow the globe to smile once again, which is what we wanted to represent in the visual.
It’s a serious situation, but it’s still repairable…just.” – Berne.
