Eddie Jones will attempt to poach try-scoring sensation from Wales


According to reports England head coach Eddie Jones and England team manager Richard Hill have held talks with the 18-year-old Welsh wing ace.

Louis Rees-Zammit has made huge impact in the Gallagher Premiership in the last few weeks and is being tipped for a place in Wayne Pivac’s Six Nations squad.

The Welsh teenager became the youngest player to score a Premiership hat-trick against Northampton Saints and the first to do it as an 18-year-old.

However, according to The Rugby Paper England have spoken to Rees-Zammit and are trying to secure his services on residency grounds. 

The speedster has spent more than two years aat Kingsholm, having left the Cardiff Blues Academy system to take up a scholarship at Hartpury College.

He now has eight tries in 11 games in all competitions since becoming Gloucester’s youngest Premiership debutant when he came off the bench against Bath in April.
