The official Carabao Cup Team of the Tournament has been unveiled on Sunday, heavily dominated by stars from a trio of Premier League clubs.
The outfits in question? Chelsea, Arsenal and Brentford.
The inclusion of no fewer than four members of Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea ranks should come as little surprise, with the Blues of course set to head to Wembley later today to battle it out in the competition’s showpiece.
All of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcos Alonso, Reece James and Saul Niguez, in turn, have been rewarded for their efforts with spots in the team.
Elsewhere, over at London rivals Arsenal, ousted by Liverpool in the semi-finals of the League Cup, two less-heralded members of Mikel Arteta’s squad make the cut, in the form of Cedric Soares and Nicolas Pepe.
And such capital-based stars are joined by another pair, too, with Brentford represented by both Yoane Wissa and Marcus Forss, the latter of whom actually departed west London for Hull City on loan during the winter window.
Rounding out the Carabao Cup Team of the Tournament, meanwhile, are a trio of Championship stars, in the form of QPR stopper Robert Dickie, Swansea City talent Morgan Whittaker, and Emil Riis Jakobsen of Preston North End.

Jota spotted
A season of hard-fought, nail-biting action in the Carabao Cup is of course set to come to a head later this evening.
Having gotten the better of Tottenham and Arsenal in their respective semi-final ties, Chelsea and Liverpool will go head-to-head at Wembley, eyeing an early-season addition to their domestic trophy hauls.
The two starting line-ups, meanwhile, are expected to be released in short order, with the hopes of Liverpool at Wembley in line for a boost in the form of the return of key attacker Diogo Jota:
