Californian Indie-Pop artist Blonds, aka Luciano Thomas, is back with his new single ‘Something Nice’. Akin to the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Bombay Bicycle Club and Passion Pit, Blonds brings together intertwining Indie instrumentation with elements of Electronica and Pop to create a multi faceted, genre defying sound.
‘Something Nice’ blends glistening guitar riffs with electronic beats, bopping bass and layered vocals to capture both an air of experimental Indie Rock as well as a vibrant commercial Pop edge. With a distorted guitar line punching in at around the 30 second mark, Blonds demonstrates his inventive and expert guitar playing while also giving the track yet another dimension.
A complete disregard for the arbitrary restraints of genre, ‘Something Nice’ captures an airy, Southern California beach energy and a completely original DIY attitude.
