Leicester Tigers and Northampton Saints players are due to be called up by England boss Steve Borthwick as he continues his preparation for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Commenting on the camps current atmosphere, Borthwick said: “Training has got to be tough, without question, but it has to be purposeful and I think this will challenge the players throughout, with clear purpose about what we are doing.
“I also think the best players enjoy that challenge. There are clearly things that you do on the grass and off the grass that there is enjoyment.
“You should be giving players the time of their lives, preparing for something at the pinnacle of the sport.
“I think it’s an incredibly exciting and enjoyable time and I want to make sure this preparation period has the detail right so these players are prepared really well, and the players improve and enjoy that in the process.”
Borthwick’s men face Wales twice, Ireland and Fiji in August before launching their World Cup campaign against Argentina in Marseille on September 9.
The final England World Cup squad of 33 players will be announced on August 7.
