“Agenda against us is real” – Many Chelsea fans are raging with “threat to this beautiful game”

Chelsea really should have won more comfortably than they eventually did against Watford on Saturday.

The Blues had just 10 shots on target to their opponents’ one at Vicarage Road, with Ben Foster making some magnificent saves to keep the game within the Hornets’ reach. Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic were able to put their side 2-0 up, but there were a nervy last 10 minutes for Frank Lampard’s side when Gerard Deulofeu scored from the penalty spot to halve the two-goal margin.

Was Maurizio Sarri’s departure from Chelsea the best thing that could have happened to the club? Find out why in the video below…

The decision to award the spot-kick was made by VAR, who decided that Jorginho had done enough to trip up the former FC Barcelona winger.

However, that outcome only arrived after a lengthy wait. The former Derby County boss was very critical of the system during his post-match reaction, saying: “We’re not in a great place with it. Anything that takes that long means that there is something they are not sure about, so then why aren’t we using the screens on the side of the pitch?”

The Stamford Bridge outfit’s supporters were far from happy with the call as well, and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
